Glo Skin Hydra-Bright AHA Hydrator

Glo Skin Beauty Hydra-Bright AHA Hydrator Review:

Hi, everyone!

I subscribe to beauty boxes on and off to explore and discover new skincare and beauty products. In August, I got the BeautyFIX subscription box by Dermstore (15% off $50) and wow, I was super excited to find a couple of items that I would consider favorites!

This is going to be a review of the Glo Skin Beauty Hydra-Bright AHA Hydrator that was in my August 2021 BeautyFIX by Dermstore. Since the box is no longer available, you can purchase this as a stand alone item on either Amazon or Dermstore

In one simple sentence, I would not buy this for myself but I would absolutely buy this for my significant other! More on this below!

Ingredients: Aqua/Water/Eau, Squalane, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Lauryl Laurate, Glycerin, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Ethylhexyl  Palmitate, Carnitine, Polysorbate 20, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Lactic Acid, Alcohol Denat., Phenoxyethanol, Cetearyl Olivate, Mica, Hydroxypropyl Starch Phosphate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Polysorbate 60, Sorbitan Olivate, 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Gluconate, Xanthan Gum,  Ethylhexylglycerin, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Santalum  Austrocaledonicum  Wood Oil, Teprenone, Tocopherol, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Hydrolyzed Myrtus Communis Leaf Extract, Polyglyceryl-4 Caprate, Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract, Sodium Hydroxide, Ormenis Multicaulis Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Dextran, Caprooyl Tetrapeptide-3, CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide).

Upsides:

  • The Glo Skin Beauty Hydra-Bright AHA Hydrator feels lightweight but hydrating. It’s not too thin or too thick, and in my opinion, the consistency is perfect for a lightweight moisturizer!
  • This product is marketed as a “brightening moisturizer that restores the skin’s tone and texture.” I used it for several evenings and I definitely noticed that it moisturizes very well and brightens a little too!
  • Depending on your skin, this could be your next Holy Grail item! I have oily/combination skin and the Glo Skin Beauty Hydra-Bright AHA Hydrator made my skin feel more oily in the morning (I used it the night before). It wasn’t too bad but it definitely did not help with the oil control. My significant other has dry skin with red and dry patches and this was amazing for that type of skin! After using it on dry skin for about 2 weeks, there is definitely a huge difference. The red and dry patches have disappeared and it helps retain moisture throughout the day for my significant other’s skin. If you have dry skin, this is absolutely something you should try! If you have oily/combination skin, this might not work for you.
  • A small amount of the Glo Skin Beauty Hydra-Bright AHA Hydrator goes a long way! We received a Deluxe-sized item (0.5 Oz) and after using it twice a day for over 2 weeks, there is still a lot of product left! We use a small pea-sized amount, dot the face first, and then blend it in. It works very well for the small amount that is used!
  • The Glo Skin Beauty Hydra-Bright AHA Hydrator has a very light scent to it. It’s very pleasant and does not overwhelm at all. My significant other actually loves the smell!
  • If you have Amazon Prime (free 30-day trial if you don’t already have Amazon Prime!), you can get it within 2 days! Plus, if it did not work for any reason like you reacted to it, it’s free return. You can’t beat that!

Downsides:

  • Like I mentioned before, if you have oily/combo skin, this might not work as well for you! However, this would definitely work for someone with dry skin!
  • The Glo Skin Beauty Hydra-Bright AHA Hydrator costs $48.00 for 1.7 Oz (as of September 6, 2021). This seems a little pricey for myself since it did not work as well as it did for my significant other. However, if you are looking for a good moisturizer that helps with very dry skin and this works for you, then the price is definitely worth it!

As always, I will always include upsides and downsides to all reviews. The Glo Skin Beauty Hydra-Bright AHA Hydrator has both upsides and downsides in my opinion. Although I did notice the moisturizing and slightly brightening effect on my skin, this also left my skin feeling extra oily. However, my significant other has dry skin and this was extremely effective for that type of skin. If you have dry skin, then I would recommend you give this a try!
